The Office of Congresswoman Cha Hernandez, the representative of the Lone District of Calamba, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Laguna, gave support to Anihan scholars through a grant from the local government worth P2.9M, via TESDA’s Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). The toolkits for Cookery and Bread & Pastry Production were released last April 2-3, 2024, Tue-Wed, to our Quick Service Restaurant Operations (QSRO) Chervil and Lavender students, and our Senior High School students, Grade 11-Saffron and Grade 12-Cinnamon.
The STEP toolkits consisted of a convection oven, an electric hand mixer, a food processor and a carbon steel wok. Our students are grateful and hopeful that with the new set of kitchen equipment awarded to them, they will be able to start a business that will help augment their family income.
