Anihan’s 12-month Quick Service Restaurant Operations (QSRO) program is a collaboration that started with the Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) in 2018. JGF provided not only full scholarships but also living allowances to the first three batches of QSRO scholars and continues to do so for select students.
Anihan’s QSRO program is open to female senior high school graduates aged 18 to 21. The QSRO training curriculum includes TESDA NC II Qualifications in Bread and Pastry Production, Cookery, and Food and Beverage Service as well as training in administrative and management skills.
Despite the pandemic-related challenges that affected the second and third batches of the QSRO program, the scholars proved determined and brave. They patiently persevered and were able to not only graduate but also find jobs thanks to the employment assistance provided by Anihan. In fact, for many of these graduates, they were the ones who were able to provide for their families during the lockdown. In January 2023, QSRO Batch 4 scholars graduated and are now also already gainfully employed.
