The student campaign this year has brought our Student Affairs team led by Ms. Aileen R. Clutario, Anihan’s Vice-Director for Student Affairs, to visit several provinces around the country. Together with the rest of the recruitment team, Ms. Zel Zarraga, Ms. Beans Gacusan, and Ms. Sen Velasco, visits were conducted in several high schools in Calabarzon, and some provinces overseas like Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and Capiz.
In March and April this year, the team made its way back to Palawan, and went around selected high schools in Calabarzon.
Last June 4-7, 2024, members of the team brought the good news about Anihan’s scholarship programs to Gov. Eduardo Gadiano of Occidental Mindoro, with the kind assistance of Mrs. Edna Santos-Torralba. The recruitment team also had the chance to be the guests of DZVT’s 93.7 Spirit FM, a radio station owned and operated by the Apostolic Vicariate of San Jose, Brgy. Labangan Poblacion, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. The program was hosted by Rev. Fr. Jerry Jalos and Ms. Nita Florendo, and gave them the opportunity to promote Anihan far and wide.
In the Province of Capiz, the team made a courtesy call last July 21-23, 2024 to Hon. Receliste L. Escolin of President Roxas, Capiz, and Hon. Ronnie T. Dadivas of Roxas City, Capiz. They also met with the members of the Sangguniang Kabataan in Pilar, Capiz. They talked to several key persons who could help facilitate the province’s constituents to qualify and apply for Anihan’s scholarship programs.
As the new school year starts, we are happy to welcome students for our Culinary Arts and Restaurant Services (CARS) program who come from Calabarzon, MIMAROPA, and the Western Visayas regions!
