In 2021, Anihan offered short courses in Cookery NC2 and Bread and Pastry Production (BPP) NC2 under TESDA’s Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). The STEP’s objective is to reach out to communities and provide training skills toward employment and entrepreneurship.
STEP scholars in Anihan came from varied ages and backgrounds: from fifteen years old to a senior citizen, students, farmers, and employees or workers who were laid off during the pandemic.
All Anihan STEP scholars in Cookery NC2 and in BPP NC2 passed the TESDA competency assessment. STEP programs provide the participants with a training allowance, a toolkit that corresponds to their competency, insurance coverage, load allowance for data, personal protective equipment (ppe) allowance, and the assessment fee.
