Anihan Technical School celebrated its 40th Anniversary last June 7, 2026, Sunday, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, through a benefit lunch and thanksgiving celebration at The Palms Country Club, one of the school’s long-time industry partners. With more than 300 guests attending the benefit lunch, the Palms’ Grand Ballroom was packed with Anihan’s supporters, past school directors, industry partners, donors, sponsors, patrons, benefactors and friends of the past 40 years.
Dubbed as Anihan @40: A Milestone of Harvesting Dreams, the program was emceed by celebrity host, Ms. Christine Jacob-Sandejas. The Welcome Remarks was given by Ms. Aileen R. Clutario, Anihan School Director, while Ms. Imelda Nibungco, Chair of The Foundation for Professional Training, Inc. (FPTI), gave a Message on behalf of the foundation that owns Anihan, along with sister schools Punlaan in San Juan, and the Banilad Center for Professional Development (BCPD) in Cebu City.
The Thanksgiving Chat in the morning featured Ms. Charlene D. Ching, President of FPTI, Ms. Marites N. Caballero, Supervising TESD Specialist of TESDA Laguna, Mr. Lorenzo Espanola, Marketing Manager of Dean and Deluca, Ms. Angelica Gianan, Senior Human Resource Manager of the Wildflour Hospitality Group, and Chef Lealyn Malagamba, Anihan Graduate and Head Chef of The Black Pig and Wonderfull Kitchen.
Anihan Scholars opened the event with a dance presentation. Everyone was treated to a sumptuous plated lunch which was prepared by several Anihan graduates who are now working at the Palms Country Club. In the afternoon, Rev. Fr. Gerry Quejada, Anihan’s First School Chaplain, gave an inspiring message that underlined the positive contribution of Anihan to society. Anihan Graduate, Ms. Jayvee Choi-Ortega, and current Anihan scholar, Ms. Shiela Mae Ortiz, each rendered a song to everyone’s delight. A video presentation of greetings from past school directors and some Anihan graduates living and working abroad was projected before the event was put to a close with the Closing Remarks of Ms. Maria Senen L. Olmos, Anihan Vice-Director for Industry Linkage and Alumnae Affairs.
The benefit lunch and thanksgiving celebration, a fundraiser for scholarships and kitchen laboratory upgrading, would not have been possible without the support of all our sponsors.
