Anihan was glad to receive twenty-two senior high school students from Makiling Integrated School, and thirty-four (34) senior high school students from Punta Integrated School, a total of fifty-six students from January to February 2025 to train them in Cookery NC II. Both schools are partners of Anihan under the Joint Delivery Voucher Program (JDVP) of the Department of Education.
All these senior high school students first received lectures on the Basic and Common Competencies needed by all learners, followed by lectures and laboratory work on the different Cookery subjects like Cleanliness and Kitchen Sanitation, Food Packaging, Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, Egg Cookery, Vegetables, Soups, Stocks & Sauces, Meat, Poultry, Seafood, and Hot and Cold Desserts.
These 56 JDVP scholars all passed their Cookery NC II assessment conducted at Grant Institute of Trade and Technology in San Pablo City, Laguna towards the end of February 2025. Their simple graduation ceremony was held at Anihan last February 24, 2025, Monday, attended by school representatives Ms. Editha Robillos, JDVP Focal of Makiling Integrated School, and Mr. Elmo Bautista of Punta Integrated School. Ms. Aileen R. Clutario, Anihan’s Vice-Director for Student Affairs, awarded the certificates of completion to our JDVP course completers.
We are looking forward to more JDVP partnerships in the school years to come.
